what are the disadvantages to doing a system recovery on my computer? if any?

I just did a system recovery on my computer and it seems to be working a lot better. Is there any reason that I couldn’t just do this every time I get a virus or my computer messes up? Does it actually get rid of the virus. I didn’t lose any files that I know of.

It’s better if you can prevent viruses. Use anti-virus software. Use Firefox with the NoScript add-on and be careful what web sites you go to.
